  1. Identafone Ver 2.1:  Caller ID Software for PC running Windows 3.1 and later.

  3. IdentaFone requires a Rockwell based modem such as Supra, Practical
  4. Peripherals and Zoom or a ZyXEL modem with the Caller ID feature.
  5. Requires vbrun300.dll to install and run, available from most BBS's and
  6. may already be on your machine.

  15. Overview:
  16. IdentaFone, in conjunction with Caller Id/Call Display service from your
  17. phone company, will log incoming calls and perform database lookups to
  18. place complete caller information at your fingertips before the phone
  19. has rang twice. You can configure it to show a large barker screen that
  20. can be seen across the room or you can just have the icon display the
  21. calling number. Calls your numeric or Alpha Pager! Includes a Speed
  22. Dialer for 32 of your favourite numbers, dialer from the database or
  23. return call dialer in log window. You can launch a program or Windows
  24. macro when a designated number calls. Soundblaster(tm) speech support!

  28. Unzip the archive into a directory. Using File Manager click on
  29. Setup.exe.  The setup program will ask you a directory and then proceed
  30. to install the files to that directory.

  34. without limitation the warranty of fitness for any purpose. The author
  35. assumes no liability for damages, direct or consequential, which may
  36. result from the use of IdentaFone. IdentaFone is copyright protected by

  39. IdentaFone is distributed as Shareware meaning that you can try it out
  40. before deciding to buy. It is not public domain. You are granted a
  41. limited license to use IdentaFone on a trial basis. IdentaFone is
  42. protected by the Copyright laws of Canada and the USA. All rights are
  43. reserved by Maurice Dykes. You specifically have the right to distribute
  44. unmodified archives of the unregistered version and in fact are
  45. encouraged to do so. A registration license gives the licensee the right
  46. to have one active copy running at any time for one telephone line.

  48. Limitations of Test Drive Version:
  49.         The Test Drive version has all features fully enabled with the
  50.         following limitations.

  52.         You can only access the first 10 Data Base Records.
  53.  
  54.         The Speed Dialer is limited to the first 16 entries where the
  55.         purchased version allows you to swap another screen giving a
  56.         total of 32 entries.
  57.  
  58.         The Application Launcher cannot save it's configuration and will
  59.         have to be reset per session.

  61.         Pager configuration is not saved and has to be reset.
  62.  
  63.         Nag screen upon startup.
  64.  
  65.         Support is limited and not guaranteed for unregistered users.

  69. Registered users will find their registration enabled for all future
  70. releases. Ideas for the next release include AlphaNumeric Pager
  71. messaging. Registered owners receive online support if they have
